In addition, this year featured a “Women in Trades” shed build on the first Saturday of the event, where 9th and 10th grade female student teams from six area high schools built six 4×8-foot lean-to sheds. The schools were Corinth, Greenwich, Northville, Mechanicville, Schuylerville and Stillwater. The sheds were sponsored by CTE/BOCES, Curtis Lumber, DA Collins Companies, Hoosick Valley Contractors, LeChase, Teakwood Builders, United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Whitbeck Construction and Witt Construction. This year’s awards were announced at the a presentation and celebration event held on Oct. 19.

A 24-year-old Saratoga Springs tradition is going to look a little different this fall, thanks to the COVID-19 crisis. Upon arrival at your first stop, you’ll be given a free tote bag (it doesn’t matter which home you begin your tour at). Visitors will also be able to vote for their favorite houses using ballot boxes located at the showcase homes. Over the past 25 years, the Saratoga Builders Association has donated over $1.4 million dollars to local community charities through the Saratoga Showcase of Homes. Tickets to the Saratoga Showcase of Homes are $25 each and allow participants to visit all of the homes the five days of the event. An outdoor living space is located under the porte cochère between the main patio and the pool. Nine builders will be showcasing their work this year, including Belmonte Builders, Bella Home Builders, Witt Construction, DeGraff-Bloom Custom Builders, Kodiak Construction, Bonacio Construction, BDC Group, Heritage Custom Builders, and McPadden Builders. The houses are scattered across Saratoga Springs, Ballston Spa, Ballston Lake, Wilton, Malta, and Gansevoort. The 2022 Saratoga Showcase of Homes is being proudly presented over two fall weekends this year beginning October 8-9 and October 15-16.
Since its inaugural event, the Showcase of Homes has raised more than $1 million for charities. Tickets can be purchased either online or at numerous locations throughout the region, including at Roohan Realty, Rebuilding Together Saratoga Store, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and the Curtis Lumber locations in Ballston Spa and Queensbury. Tickets can also be bought at area branches of Adirondack Trust, Saratoga National Bank, Trustco Bank, and Catskill Hudson Bank.
